Left Field Kombucha is made for flavour. It is made with only the finest, ethical teas for a full drinks experience. The teas are fermented for taste. At Left Field there are no juices or added flavourings after fermentation.

This is kombucha full of healthy acids. Low in sugar and calories. High in tea. And bubbles.

Kombucha is known to contain a host of healthy organic acids. It is a fermented drink which is good for gut health. Our kombucha is naturally low in sugar and calories. Who doesn’t love an everyday drink that tastes great and can support overall health at the same time?

We make it so that you can enjoy the beautiful flavours of green, oolong and black teas in a chilled, fermented, sparkling, and healthy way.  Our award-winning No.2 Sencha Green kombucha tea is the perfect refresher on a hot summers day, while our No.1 Yunnan Black kombucha tea is wonderful in the long autumn evenings.

Left Field is made to enjoy on it's own, or paired with food, for example, our No.4 Darjeeling kombucha tea goes nicely with curry. We make it because tea is so aromatic and has such depth that the finest teas are just the thing to make a sophisticated beverage.

Our approach is simple, clean and natural. Our kombucha gets its distinctive and unexpected taste by drawing on the aromatics of only the finest ethically-sourced teas.

  • We use ethically-sourced teas
  • We don’t add fruits or spices (a tad left field for any soft drink or kombucha)
  • We infuse then expertly ferment the teas using a SCOBY (a symbiotic culture of bacteria & yeast) to bring out their complex flavours
  • Then we bottle them

Our kombucha is independently handcrafted by us.

By the sea...

Left Field Kombucha was founded in the coastal town of Eyemouth, in the Scottish Borders, renowned for its rich tea smuggling heritage. From a past of contraband in the 18th Century where boats carried Chinese teas under the cover of darkness, to a present with a range of premium fermented drinks, using the finest of loose leaf teas. We outgrew our unit in Eyemouth and moved the brewery to Livingston in 2022 but haven't forgotten our roots!

Kombucha is an unpasteurised drink. It is vegan and gluten free. We hope you enjoy ours. Let us know.
