Our couriers deliver Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm, but during busy times, deliveries may be made outside of these times, and may take longer.

We cannot be held responsible for disruption to shipping caused by industrial disputes, weather, damaged goods or actions outside our direct control.

How do I track my order?

Safe place / delivery instructions

Please ensure there will be someone available to sign for the delivery.

We can deliver to places of work if you request it at the time of order.

If you would like your delivery left in a safe place, please ensure you complete the delivery instructions box at checkout. We know you can't always guarantee you will be at home so this really helps to ensure you don't have to travel to your local (or not so local!) delivery office to collect a case of heavy bottles. Once it leaves the brewery, your order is within the courier system. We can't influence the courier company - you will need to contact them directly to rearrange delivery.

What happens if I miss my delivery?

If nobody is in when the courier attempts to deliver, then a card will be left informing you that an attempted delivery had been made. If you do not contact the courier company within 48 hours, the kombucha may be returned to us. In this situation, we will credit your account, less any delivery charge.

Problems with your order

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Yunnan Black Tea and where does it come from?

Yunnan Black Tea—also known as Dian Hong—originates from the Yunnan Province in southwest China, the cradle of ancient tea cultivation. It’s a Chinese loose leaf tea prized for its rich, earthy flavour and beautiful golden tips. Our version uses premium, large-leaf varieties traditionally harvested to preserve both character and history in every cup.

What does Yunnan loose leaf tea taste like?

Expect a deep, bold flavour with malty sweetness, hints of floral undertones, and a signature earthy smokiness. It’s complex yet smooth, often compared to a dark chocolate with a touch of dried fruit. Some customers describe it as the perfect balance between intensity and elegance—ideal for mindful sipping or a strong morning brew.

How do I brew Yunnan Black tea for the best taste?

Use 1–2 teaspoons of tea per cup. Pour water at 90–95°C and steep for 2–3 minutes. Because this Yunnan loose leaf tea has whole leaves and golden tips, it can be resteeped 2–3 times, revealing slightly different notes with each infusion.

Is this the same tea used in your Yunnan Black Kombucha?

Yes—this is the same Yunnan tea that forms the base of our No.1 Yunnan Black Kombucha, one of our most complex and bold fermented drinks. If you’ve enjoyed our kombucha, you’ll recognise the depth and smoothness in the tea that makes it so unique.

Is your Yunnan tea certified organic or ethically sourced?

While it’s not certified organic, our tea is ethically sourced from independent growers in Yunnan who use traditional methods with minimal intervention. We prioritise quality and sustainability over mass production.

How is Yunnan Black different from other black teas?

Unlike English Breakfast or Assam, Yunnan Black has less astringency and more depth. The golden tips (young buds of the tea plant) create a smoother, more mellow cup. It’s an excellent choice for those exploring Chinese loose leaf tea or transitioning from strong breakfast blends.

Can I buy Yunnan tea online in the UK?

Absolutely. You can buy Yunnan loose leaf tea online directly from us with fast and secure UK delivery. Your tea is shipped fresh and ethically packaged—ideal for tea lovers and kombucha fans alike.

What’s the shelf life and how should I store it?

Store your Yunnan tea in a cool, dark place in an airtight container. It will retain its flavour and aroma for up to 12–18 months. Just keep it away from moisture and strong odours.

Is Yunnan Black tea high in caffeine?

Yunnan tea has a moderate caffeine level, offering a smooth energy lift without jitters. It’s often chosen by those who want an elegant alternative to coffee with a richer, more grounding taste.
