Oolong tea is exquisitely delicate and floral. It is made with the finest teas from the mountainous peaks in Taiwan and China, in an area which pioneered tea growing in the 19th Century.

Oolong tea is a unique and versatile tea celebrated for its complex flavours, which fall between the freshness of green tea and the richness of black tea. Known for its smooth texture and aromatic qualities, oolong tea is also packed with antioxidants and has been associated with potential health benefits, including improved digestion, enhanced mental alertness, and metabolism support.

When will your order reach you?

We ship Monday to Friday with DHL.

Our couriers collect from us at roughly 3pm so if your order was placed later than 2.30pm, then it will be dispatched the following working day.

Our couriers deliver Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm, but during busy times, deliveries may be made outside of these times, and may take longer. 

We cannot be held responsible for disruption to shipping caused by industrial disputes, weather, damaged goods or actions outside our direct control.

How do I track my order?

Once the order leaves the brewery you will receive an email with tracking information - please follow the link in your email. If you have any questions about delivery, please check with the courier service.

Safe place / delivery instructions

Please ensure there will be someone available to sign for the delivery.

We can deliver to places of work if you request it at the time of order.

If you would like your delivery left in a safe place, please ensure you complete the delivery instructions box at checkout. We know you can't always guarantee you will be at home so this really helps to ensure you don't have to travel to your local (or not so local!) delivery office to collect a case of heavy bottles. Once it leaves the brewery, your order is within the courier system. We can't influence the courier company - you will need to contact them directly to rearrange delivery.

What happens if I miss my delivery? 

If nobody is in when the courier attempts to deliver, then a card will be left informing you that an attempted delivery had been made. If you do not contact the courier company within 48 hours, the kombucha may be returned to us. In this situation, we will credit your account, less any delivery charge.

Where's your order?

If your order does not arrive within 3 days of dispatch, please contact us by email Info@leftfieldkombucha.co.uk. We understand that a missing, damaged, or delayed shipment can be frustrating. Once a case leaves our brewery the shipment is in the hands of our courier and things can go wrong. In these circumstances we will do our best to send replacements or offer refunds for damaged goods ASAP.

What is loose leaf oolong tea and how does it differ from green or black tea?

Oolong is a semi-oxidised tea that sits between green and black tea in both processing and flavor. It offers the floral freshness of green tea with the depth and slight toastiness of black tea. Unlike tea bags, loose leaf oolong tea allows the full leaf to unfurl, delivering a more complex, layered brew that’s smoother and naturally lower in bitterness.

How do I brew oolong leaf tea for best results?

Use 1–2 teaspoons per cup and steep in 85–90°C water for 2–3 minutes. The leaves can be re-steeped up to 3 times, with the flavor evolving in each infusion. You don’t need any fancy equipment—just a strainer or teapot will do.

Is this oolong tea the same used in your kombucha?

Yes! This is the exact same oolong loose leaf tea we use to craft our No.3 Oolong Kombucha, which won Gold at the 2022 Great Taste Awards. That should tell you everything you need to know about the quality of these leaves.

Is this oolong tea organic or ethically sourced?

While not certified organic, our oolong is ethically sourced from independent tea growers who practice traditional farming methods. We prioritise clean, pesticide-free growing environments and transparent supply chains.

Can I use this oolong tea for cold brewing or iced tea?
Absolutely. Oolong performs beautifully in cold brew. Simply add 1 tablespoon of leaves to 500ml of cold water, let steep in the fridge for 6–8 hours, and strain. The result is a smooth, subtly floral iced tea with no bitterness.
